how to become diaper dependant

Introduction to the 12 month diaper training program. I have made the program available here on my blog also. it can also be found via a Google search. The program has been available for a long time. And the author did a great job in explaining and elaborating on how he managed to lose continence i.e. unpotty training, and eventually according to he's testimony become diaper dependent.

NOTE: This is not my work. However I have added a few recommendations to an already great guide.

The 12 month diaper training program claims that the user if following it to it's fullest extent will be successful after 12 months, and after that period will be both urinary and bowel incontinent. I am not able to verify or deny it's success in achieving it's objective. Because I haven't followed the program 100%. It's not that I didn't want to, though. The program have elements which just aren't possible for me to comply to, giving my conditions and work situation. Does that mean that the program is only for the hardcore trainees? no not at all. I have used the program as a ressource for information for behavioral changes and conditioning myself to my new life. Simply because I didn't want to lose control of my bowels.

With that said, I was able to answer yes to the following questions.

Do you want to be in diapers all the time or just weekends? This is a full-time program! YES
Are you willing to rework your wardrobe? YES
Are you willing to redefine yourself as incontinent? YES
Could you tell other people that you need to wear diapers? YES
Could you carry a diaper bag with you everywhere you go? YES
· Could you change your diaper in a public restroom? YES
· Could you wear them in front of anyone? Not just
them, under clothes! YES
· Are you willing to wear diapers at all times, or wet
your clothes if you decide to not wear? YES
· Are you willing to follow a diet? YES though not pursuing bowel incontinence
· Avoid certain foods and drugs? YES
· Follow a schedule? YES
· Keep your pubic area completely shaved? YES
· If you are single, could you tell that new date that you
need to wear diapers? I'm married so no issue, she knows
· If you are married, could you tell your spouse "This is
it, diapers for me from now on." YES, did that.
· Could you deal with the fact that your body as a
whole is going to change over the next year? YES

It's my belief one of the most important aspects of the diaper training program is the section about the enemy, the bladder. Prior to in-rolling into the program, I had extreme bladder control also known as "Trucker bladder".

Know your enemy:
How your bladder holds urine, and why this
is a "diaper-training" program rather that a
"toilet-detraining" program.

Diaper training, is a conscious replacement of one pattern with another.

This means, altering muscle memory.

Scientists call this "kinesthetic memory" or "neuro-muscular
facilitation" and they speak of "sensory-motor" learning,
since you are combining sensing input, i.e. what you feel
with your muscles and bladder, with motor output, i.e. what
you do with your body.

These are the steps involved in bladder de-training.

  1. Drink at least 16 oz of coffee with breakfast (two cups)
and another 8oz glass of water before you leave your
house. (if you don't eat breakfast, you will need to start!)….unless you go for double incontinence, you can skip the breakfast!
  2. Do not use the toilet again for peeing. All peeing, now happens in your diaper.
  3. My own supplement: If you feel your stomach rumble and need to poop, hurry up and go to the toilet, you must not hold for too long because you are then exercising your sphincter muscles and it is exactly the
sphincter muscles you are working on to atrophy. If you are in a situation where it doesn't matter, you can chose to fill your diaper. But remember, the smell is an instant giveaway! The important thing here is, not holding back, so hurry up!

Another set of essential tips from the training program.
Let your bladder empty at the first signal that it is filling. Never, never, never hold your urine. Even if you are afraid you will leak. This is an important part of the training, and it requires lots of practice, so don't
get frustrated! It will result in diaper leaks sometimes, but this comes with the territory.
Concentrate on urinating whenever you take a sip of water, you will be able to eventually retrain your body systems to be sensitive to "balancing" — this is when you void while drinking, or have a bowel movement shortly after a large meal. This is the natural state of your digestive and urinary tract!

Pushing fluids! important step to keep your bladder going, and you practicing wetting your diaper, in ever smaller volumes.

My own tip here for those who have just started. Diaper up in the thickest diaper you can wear comfortably. Because you will need the extra capacity in the diaper. Eventually you can downsize your diaper to a more discreet one, after your wetting volume start to decrease. Any diaper will absorb more when you only wet in small volumes. So how to push fluids?

Eating and Drinking:
These steps must be followed! These foods will loosen your bowels and help your body regulate the new state of water balance!
Remember, your body is changing!
When you wake up:
· In addition to your regular breakfast, you should
· Drink coffee, tea, or something with caffeine.
· Drink at least 8oz of water
· Eat a bran or oat based cereal (oatmeal with brown
sugar is the best bet)
· Eat an apple
For a snack:
· Have yogurt, this will keep your bowels regular and will
actually make your b.m. smell less.
· Drink another 8oz of water.
For Lunch:
· In addition to your regular lunch, eat a banana and a
handful of almonds. (Almonds will help your bowels–
and for men, almonds contain arginine, an antioxidant
that will help your testicles and willy handle the heat of
being wrapped in a diaper all the time.
· A glass of cranberry juice.
· Drink another 8oz of water.
For a snack
· Drink a cup of catnip tea with honey. This will relax
your bladder muscle and make it harder to hold your
urine.
· A handful of blackberries
For Dinner
· In addition to your regular Dinner, eat something with
soy in it (tofu or soybean oil) or one teaspoon of olive
oil.
· Drink at least 8oz of water
2 hours before bed
· Drink at least 8oz of water
Before you lay down to sleep:
· Have a bowl of watermelon. Watermelon is water in
reserve, that is, it digests and provides more liquid to be
evacuated. It is also a diuretic.

Day Wetting: How to begin
MOST IMPORTANTLY: take no water pills or other
drugs to try to attain day wetting!

Day wetting involves an interesting paradox, you want to
focus on wetting and practice letting go, and at the same
time you want to let it happen without thinking about it
too much.

The amount of water you are now drinking will ensure
that you should be able to pee all through the day. If you
can't pee in your diaper, you will need to practice in front
of a toilet until you can.

After you have mastered the task of peeing in a diaper
standing, you should practice wetting while laying down
or reclining, walking, talking, and sitting in a car.
You should be able to wet in almost any position before
you expect to stop noticing that you are doing it.

Remember the muscle memory segment ?
Contrary to what some web sites will tell you, you will
need to bear down to start the flow until you get used to
wetting. This is not something you should continue
forever, however.
After you can comfortably start and stop without much
thought or effort, you will stop bearing on your own. (I
need to do it myself occasionally, still)
A kink in your urethra (if you are a male) can cause
problems which require a bit of readjustment. I have
problems sometimes when driving because of the
pressure on the perineum and urethra… to ease the
pressure, try to raise your bottom off of the car seat and
bear down; the urine should start to flow shortly after.
If you cannot achieve a good flow while driving or sitting
in a car, you will need to practice! Remember; think
first, muscle memory later!

After a time (usually three weeks) you will be urinating
freely enough to stop paying so much conscious attention
to it.
The bladder neck needs to shift slightly and the
sphincters will need to become less tense before you can
wet freely.

This one is crucial when it comes to re-programming your body.!!!!!!

Practice relaxed sphincter tone!
When you wet, your bladder contracts and your sphincters relax to let the urine flow. The next time you wet, notice how you relax and unclench those muscles.
When potty trained, we learn to clench those muscles after
finishing and walk away. What you want to do is achieve a state in these muscles of constant relaxation.
Try this: The next time you wet, don't clench after you are done. This will take time because it is almost a reflex for most potty trained adults. Try to hold that relaxed state as long as you can.
Reverse Kegaling.
The kegal exercises are designed to strengthen the sphincters, what you want to do is drastically weaken them.
Find that relaxed state you had after urinating and whenever you think of it, release the tension in your sphincters. You should feel almost a drop sensation as everything lets go. You may urinate at this point, you may not. That isn't the point.
You want relaxed sphincters at all times!!!

12 month diaper training program

Keep a journal of your progress; You can get apps. designed to track incontinence episodes and fluid intake. it's convenient when you are starting out, and later on to track which diapers to use in certain situations.

It will be of interest to you later to see how far you have progressed.
This is just what may happen if you follow the plan.
A lot of little changes occur during the first four months, and because you are more excited, they all seem earth-shattering. At about month four, a leveling off where nothing else seems to change will occur.
This plateau doesn't mean that nothing is changing, on the contrary, you are reinforcing the new toileting habits and the muscles are weakening at a much faster pace during this time. Although it may not be obvious, more is happening now than during the first three months, don't get frustrated!
You are combating years of training and unconscious bladder and bowel holding habits.

My thoughts on the 12 month diaper program. As mentioned in the beginning I didn't follow the guide 100%, but I did focus on pushing fluids and staying relaxed. Actually both are pretty hard to do all the time. For instance, staying relaxed all the time, does require a conscious effort, to do. And you may find yourself in situations where your focus is required elsewhere, only to realize you are beginning to notice your bladder signalling a need to void. Also, you will experience so-called "dry-spells" where no matter how much you drink, nothing comes out, and then all the sudden, the floodgates open and you soak your diaper heavily, usually resulting in the diaper leaking. I even had top of the notch premium diapers leaking, when I flooded it, in the beginning. Now after years of training my bladder capacity is nowhere near what it once was.

Another thing, is when you do wet your diaper, you most likely will try and control the flow, dont! you are exercising your sphincter muscles you are working on to atrophy. So get used to it, and let it flow freely.

Adult male who took an life changing decision years ago, to revert back into diapers, with the objective to become diaper dependent by reverse potty training. My blog here is my thoughts on every aspect of being diapered as an adult 24/7/365. This includes how to both be discreet when out and about being among other people who does not know, while still maintaining the feeling of being secure and safe. The blog also deals with my experience on how to lose continence, what have worked and what didn't. Remember even though I have been diapered 24/7 for many years, I'm not at the end of my journey. In fact sometimes I feel as I'm starting all over, again and again. Yet, I have lost some control and do not dare not being diapered. Feel free to comment if you like, or post a question.
